Art has been an integral part of my life since a very young age.
My ambition was to become an Illustrator. Mt Stromlo Observatory and the Research School of Biological Sciences, ANU Canberra gave me the opportunity to hone my skills working with the aid of an Electron microscope, to illustrate both fauna and flora dissections for publication in science journals.
I began painting, firstly in oils, then in watercolour and mixed media. Most of my art now centres around watercolour, with some pen and ink work. I find painting with watercolour both exhilarating and frustrating, as you can never be quite sure where it will lead you.
Over the years I have been most fortunate to have had the opportunity to participate in workshops with John Lovett, David Fam and others.
I paint using a variety of subjects, predominately the bush, floral and bird life.

Art is a natural part of human expression and creativity and has transformed my life.
MY AMBITION
My multimedia artwork ranges from realism to abstraction, and I am particularly interested in using art as a medium for transformational change.
As a psychologist and life coach, I taught creative thinking programs and expressive art therapies throughout Australia and am the author of The Gift of Positivity, which is a manifestation of the wisdom of practicing positivity through art and mindful art practice.
THE PROCESS
Over the years I dabbled in watercolour and mixed media and collaborated with leading artists in expressing figurative and decorative art. I studied photography at the Australian National University School of Art and Design and my artwork is on display in the permanent collection at the Fabriano Museum in Italy.
I am a member of the ‘Art 2 Life’ community and recent work involves experimenting with acrylics and collage to create new forms of art.
